Maybe you have heard about Reiki, but you are still curious about it. So, what is it exactly?
Reiki is a natural, safe and simple alternative health modality that everyone can use. Because it helps the body to bring balance to the root cause of disease and imbalance. It can be used effectively to work with physical, mental/emotional and energetic connections. Reiki is non-invasive and can work in conjunction with medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. It should be clarified that this discipline is not intended to be a substitute for medical treatment, but to complement it.
So, what happens during a Reiki Session?
A Reiki session begins by having a conversation about what you would like to see improved in your body, mind or life. Also, the practitioner will answer any questions you may have about Reiki or the session.
If a Reiki session is conducted in person, you will lie down on a treatment table (fully clothed) to begin the session. You will lie there and relax and the practitioner moves around your body sending healing energy.
Maybe you are wondering if you will feel anything?
Some people may feel warmth or cold sensations and some people may feel nothing at all. This is normal and rest assured that the healing energy is doing what it needs to do whether or not you feel anything.
When the session is over, your practitioner will bring your awareness back to the room and have follow up conversations as deemed appropriate.
You can schedule Reiki sessions as often as you wish but keep in mind that time you have between session is the time your body is healing.
I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.
